Overview
John Wilson serves as a member of the Board of Directors at the Institute for American Manufacturing & Technology, where he advises the Institute in all matters related to his expertise derived from a career in public policy and government.
Biography
John Wilson is a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for American Manufacturing & Technology, a policy and research organization dedicated to strengthening the industrial foundations of the United States. The Institute conducts research across three specialized divisions: the Aegis Institute, focused on artificial intelligence governance and compute infrastructure; the Atlas Institute, focused on energy systems and power infrastructure; and the Forge Institute, focused on manufacturing competitiveness and supply chains.
John’s experience includes time at the Department of War, focusing his efforts on great power competition and national security policy. Prior to his service in the Executive, John worked in the 117th and 118th Congresses, devoting his time to advising members of the House Judiciary Committee and the House Armed Services Committee, as well as serving as a Speechwriter to members of Congress and as a Head Writer for podcasts.
While in Congress, John also engaged in grassroots diplomacy, helping to build strong bilateral relationships between the United States and its allies in Europe and the Western Hemisphere.

Background
Outside the Institute, John is a national security and intelligence professional committed to public service. He is a proud officer in the United States Navy Reserve and currently lives in Virginia with his wife and daughter, where he is an active member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS).
